Project Overview
This project is a complete turnkey parboiled rice production line built for a major grain processing enterprise in Lagos, Nigeria. The client required a fully automated, high-capacity solution capable of processing locally sourced paddy rice into premium export-grade parboiled rice.
SKWAY Machinery provided end-to-end engineering services including factory layout design, equipment manufacturing, sea freight logistics, on-site installation, commissioning, and operator training. The entire project was completed and handed over within the agreed timeline.
The production line processes 50,000 kg of paddy per day, producing high-quality parboiled rice with excellent grain integrity, golden color, and superior nutritional value compared to conventional white rice. The finished product meets international export standards.

SKWAY Solution
Customized Factory Layout Design
SKWAY engineers conducted a site survey and designed an optimized factory layout considering local climate, available building footprint, and future expansion plans. Civil engineering drawings were provided for the client's local contractor.
High-Temperature Adapted Equipment
All electrical components and control systems were specified for operation in high-ambient-temperature environments. Enhanced cooling systems were added to the PLC control cabinet and motor drives.
Voltage Stabilization & Power Protection
Integrated voltage stabilizers and UPS backup systems were included to protect sensitive equipment from local power fluctuations. The PLC system features automatic restart after power interruption.
On-Site Installation & Commissioning
A team of 4 SKWAY engineers traveled to Nigeria for on-site installation and commissioning. The entire installation was completed in 45 days, followed by 30 days of commissioning and optimization.
Operator Training Program
Comprehensive training program for 12 local operators and 2 maintenance technicians. Training materials provided in English and local language. Remote video support available 6×24h after handover.
